VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT FOR SHORT TERM TECHNICAL CONSULTANT AT YOUTH FOR HEALTH CENTER NGO

  1. ROLE OF SHORT-TERM TECHNICAL CONSULTANT

The Sustainability of HIV Services for Key Populations in Asia (SKPA) Program is a Global Fund HIV
multi-country grant which aims to promote sustainable services for key populations at scale to stop
HIV transmissions and AIDS-related deaths by 2030.One of the objectives of the SKPA program is to mitigate service delivery gaps. This could be achieved by developing a city-based online digital campaign to encourage high-risk key populations to access HIV-related services regularly. This online digital campaign are meant to the center of information related to HIV and other sexual health issues with a refined key messages that appeals to the target audience. This campaign will also complement the existing HIV intervention program and contribute to increasing HIV testing, treatment, care, and support services. The test4UB campaign are primarily focusing on PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis); HIVST (HIV self-testing); General HIV/STI awareness, testing and treatment (including stigma & discrimination). With pilot site in Ulaanbaatar capital, men who have sex with men (MSM) is the sole campaign target audience, emphasizing more on the younger generation of the population.
YFH seeks a technical consultant to develop assessment reports which will inform or allow to identify achievements and bottlenecks in implementation to determine adjustments to digital campaign implementation strategies that will help in building strong and sustainable campaigns in the future.
 
  1. PRINCIPAL DUTIES

Youth for Health Centre will hire a potential local consultant to support these assessment processes which specific tasks will include, but not limited to the following:
  • Review survey instrument and provide necessary feedback;
  • Close coordination with Youth for Health Centre and APCOM on survey instrument programming processes;
  • Conduct assessment trial and error phase and provide necessary feedback;
  • Conduct assessment and oversee data collection processes;
  • Develop comprehensive assessment report draft, along with its recommendations, and share with Youth for Health Centre and APCOM for suggestions;
  • Finalize assessment report in both English and Mongolian language.
 
  1. REQIURED SKILS AND EXPERIENCE
 
  • Advance degree in Public health.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting similar assessment.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with key populations and civil society
  • Availability of both offsite and on-site support is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to critically analyze information and proactively identify requirements and offer recommendations and solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, including in the areas of presentation, succinct report writing, and networking.
